The company hires three antisocial computer geeks--Hardcore (Tyler Mane), Bug (Jason Marsden), and Sol (Karim Prince)--who work in an expansive, labyrinthine computer lab. A one million dollar bonus spurs on the competition between them, and intern Laura (Clea DuVall) and company rep Drummond (Steven Culp) referee the competition. One night, during a storm, lightning brings to life the motion capture suit used to program the game's movements. With characteristics of each of the programmers' creations driving it, the monster--believing it is playing the game--begins stalking the team around the lab. How To Make A Monster first appeared on Cinemax as part of the Creature Features series, which remakes 1950s monster films from Samuel Arkoff's American International Pictures. I love it! It's corny, cheesy, but it's got JULIE STRAIN! -- TOPLESS! As if that isn't enough to make you go buy it. Also, the actors playing their given parts are unbelievable...all gamers will be able to nitpick this to death. But you gotta love Clea DuVall, cheese, Strain, and that monstrous wrestler. The concept is pretty awesome too. Nice gore factor, also. =)
