My Jeep has the locking hood bolt. Until applying the Marin grade varnish to help with rust and add sheen didn’t realize I need to drill a sizable hole to allow me to unlock the hood.Other than this looks amazing.Several YouTube clips give various install tips.It’s a fun way to enjoy Jeep life. Mine is used for work projects and rough doorless German Shepherd adventures. The flag is what sold me. The attitude eyes second. Price, their gotta yes ??⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️?Very easy to install and looks great! Esp on my Jurrasic Park Jeep ???great valueLooks good installed a different weather strip on top and clear coated with flat clear after reviewing that the teeth tend to color after awhile**Update** Not even a year, but post winter...ABORT! ABORT! ABORT!Rusted and now looks like crap.As mentioned first go round, Clear coat it before install and you will be okay. However that being said, should you really need to do work to something you just bought?? Your the judge on that. I wont change my rating as a result but be AWARE IT WILL RUST and Alcohol will remove finish.It was a $100 grille with a cool look so have zero complaints. How it looks in the photos are what I received. This is a bare bones "painted" but not finished grille. I made the mistake of "prepping" the grille for the weather stripping (as you do with any surface when you place a adhesive backed object to another) Well when I rubbed the alcohol wipe on the grille, paint came with it and the little bit that touched the front of the grille left streaks so I need to take it back off and paint it and apply a clear coat. dont make my mistake please. Either finish it with some clearcoat or do not use alcohol to prep for the weather stripping.Shipping was a big old mess but that was hardly xprites problem. It was UPS. So I wont knock them or the product for that ish.I just wish it would have been a little better documented to not prep the surface with alcohol like everything else that uses double sided tape. I mean this could be one of those "caution hot coffee" moments but a little nod to the fact it was going to take paint would have been nice I guess. I really does look awesome and it installed in about 5 minutes. OH! almost forgot. The turn signal lens...They fit fine but there did appear to be a little bit of flashing on the grille that prevented them from seating flush and required a bit more muscle to get the tabs to click in correctly. really the only physical defect I have. The weatherstripping was a bit long but fixed easy enough with scissors. Make sure when you are putting the metal clips on that you get them on juuuuust right since they are kinda meant to go on one time and repositioning them can be a struggle. but all good so far minus few things. solid 4.6 product.Took for ever to show up but was packaged very nicely no scratches however on the river side where the turn signal pops in there is a flaw in the machining of this piece and the 1 clip that holds the housing does not catch and had to glue the lense to the grille to get it to stay. Very poor quality and the lines of the teeth look like a 7 year old spray painted it. But for a hundred bucks you cant expect quality. It looks good from about 30 feet or so but definitely would not buy if you were planning on going to showsWas so excited when I bought it as one of the first mods to my first Jeep. The cool wore off during first event when there were 860 others with the exact same one… sitting in the parking lot alone =9/10 sweet.. sitting in a parking lot FULL of other jeeps = MEH.Arrived 2 days later than supposed to but really happy with the grill no big issues the clips from the turning signal covers didn't slide in it was too tight so scraped a bit off the slots on the grill with an exacto knife. Came with metal clips and a bag with push pins and rubber seal for between the hood and grill which I cut down a bit like the same length of the original because I don't think it will really stay on the sides where it curves. For the price you can't go wrong. Install took about 15 minutes that's including taking the old grill off. Install really happy with itLooks great. Arrived on time.Been on for a month showing rust already not happyUpdate ** the company gave me a full refund. However strongly recommend not buying this product due to rust issues. A year later and the entire mesh is orange. **Absolutely AMAZING! Better than stock grille by 100%!!!Perfect fit, all hardware included!!Literally, 100% better than other manufacturers. Everything I’ve ordered is(and has been)amazing.Great product. Looks good on the jeep easy to install. Only issue is rubber seal 3 m tape sucks and wont stick. Even if you clean the service well. Im a mechanic So i knkw what im doing however. Over all we like it. Lets see how long the teeth last.Not impressed with shipping. First grill corner was broke when I opened it and the second one was all scratched.
